The Home Builders Association of Greater Spartanburg is affiliated with the National Association of Home Builders and the Home Builders Association of South Carolina. These affiliations allow us to effectively serve the interests of the home building industry throughout the country. Each association focuses on specific areas of interest for the industry where they have expertise and resources. The purpose of these affiliations is to produce a strong and vibrant housing market and level playing field for our members.

Green Building. Green buildings are designed to reduce the overall impact of the built environment on human health and the natural environment.

Energy efficiency and a wise use of resources not only helps the environment but saves homeowners money. Green homes built under programs like EnergyStar, a U.S. Department of Energy program, have been proven to dramatically reduce utility bills for water and electricity.

The Certified Master Builder Program is designed to assist homeowners in their search for builders and remodelers with a proven track record of stability, integrity and service to their buyers. Created by the Home Builders Association of South Carolina, the program’s purpose is to help home builders and remodelers build upon their professionalism, business practices, product quality and record of customer service.
